Museum für Kommunikation 2017

The permanent exhibition at the Museum of Communication in Bern is an innovative and interactive journey through the history and present of human communication.

The exhibition explores the many facets of communication, from language and writing to digital technologies and social and cultural dimensions. Combining historical artefacts, multimedia installations, and interactive stations, it invites visitors not merely to observe communication, but to participate in it.
Lighting plays a central role in the exhibition experience. It was carefully designed to highlight the exhibits, support the atmosphere of each thematic area, and aid visitor orientation. The complete transition from conventional light sources to LED technology reduced energy costs for lighting by up to 60%.
